Nothing special about the day activities...  Lauri and I spent most of the day doing laundry and cleaning the coach...  One of the downsides to Motorhome travel

Rested and worked on the computer in the afternoon.

Dinner was "Pot Luck"...  Everyone brought something.  Lauri made "Red Beans and Rice with Kilebasa Sausage".  It was gone by the end of dinner.  After dinner, a quick clean up and then off to the evenings activities.

Evening at Mt. Rushmore, where we enjoyed a super talk from a Park Ranger concerning the ecology and preservation of the region and animals withing the Park.  He touched on the obligation of each citizen to be part of, and take part in Government.  He stressed the role of our elected officials in regard to working together to solve the Nations problems.  It was a very inspiring talk. Then came the movie.  It contained a short history about the sculptor of Mt. Rushmore, a Danish-American by the name of Gutzon Borglum.  Construction started in 1927, took 14 years to complete, and cost 1 Million dollars (during the time of construction).
The movie also included a short history of the four Presidents that are enshrined on the mountain.  The history included what is believe each president had, that Borglum saw, that made him want them in his massive 60 foot high sculptures of the Presidents heads.

Washington, Jefferson, T. Roosevelt. and Lincoln...  Four very diverse men.  One "Federalist, one Democrat, and two Republicans (although Roosevelt was elected on the Independent ticket).  Two of the Presidents were born into wealth and two were born into diverse levels of poverty and humble beginnings.  Each had a different but very demanding challenge to their presidency.  Borglum chose well...  IMHO

After the movie, the mountain was lit up and all servicemen in the audience were asked to come down to the stage for recognition.  Very emotional.  The colors were struck and the flag folded before the evening ended.

Back to camp with everyone in our car talking about what a super evening it was,  Our main question to each other was regarding the Park Ranger's definition and explanation of the "simplistic" way that Government should work.  Our rhetorical question is...  "Why can't the assholes in DC fix this crap???

The answer is coming on another day as soon as I can find someone that is smart enough to answer it.
