The Drive
Uneventful drive from Albany, Oregon to mount Shasta City, California in the shadows of Mt. Shasta.

Window shot...  Sorry for the refection
Mount Shasta is an independent volcanic mountain (independent of the surrounding range) that sits in Siskiyou County in Northern California.  Mt. Shasta was formed about 600,000 years ago and consists of four overlapping multiple cones, but is considered one mountain.  The last active cone was developed about 20,000 years ago.  Mt. Shasta dominates the skyline from 150 miles in every direction, standing 14,179 ft.  It is the 2nd highest peek in the Cascades and the 5th highest in California.  At 85 cu miles, it is the most voluminous of any mountain in the Cascade Range.

Now some personal business.

Lauri continues to harp...  excuse me...  express her concerns, about the expense of our travels.  She has suggested we consider an austerity program concerning our travels.  One of the things she has suggested is down sizing from our current coach, to a small, less expensive, one.  So, you all should know, I have traded our 38 foot Bounder (below and left) for a more thrifty model to the right.  I hope she's happy.
What the hell is this?

Continuing to head South tomorrow.
