Chase Day  #7:
486.8  Miles

Interesting "Chase Day".  The morning briefing provided the bad news that there wasn't to much going on.  Things that looked promising were all North into NW So. Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana.  The other factor that would influence our decisions is the fact that today would be the LAST real Chase Day.
Six of our group had plane reservations scheduled for Monday afternoon.  The rest of us were scheduled for departure on Tuesday.  So the math was easy...  some had to head back to Denver tonight.  The others could spend the night in the field, and head back on Monday morning, with the possibility of a late afternoon arrival if the chasing was good.
Since there was no real push on the days Chase, we had a group "Sit Down" breakfast.  Some of our more inhibited Chasers can be seen "Shrinking" in the shade of the porch.
The decision was made to head North, and after breakfast we headed out, our initial sites set on Rapid City, So. Dakota.  When we get there we'll (Bob) decide which storm activity the group will attempt to chase.
A lunch break was made at Subway with the instructions to be a "Grab and Go" in case we needed to move quickly.  The lunch break lasted about 2 1/2 hours while we watched the storm cells do absolutely nothing.  Slow chase days can be hard on everyone.  Here some of the group wait for the Go/No Go word

We headed for Buffalo, Wyoming to attempt to intercept a storm cell that looked promising.  No good.  Back toward South Dakota.  Then back to Buffalo.  Then back toward So. Dakota again.

Taking care of business along the way.  Hey...  You gotta do what you gotta do.

The result of the days chase and mileage is this shot of a cloud formation.
